Dai Soejima has been involved in corporate development and mergers and acquisitions in the chemicals, life science and building products industries. He has led numerous acquisitions and divestiture projects and has managed an investment portfolio of a very large multinational company for over 3 decades.
Prior to joining Conexus, Dai worked at Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) and Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas). Dai founded Mitsubishi International Food Ingredients, Inc. with an acquisition of Ashland Inc’s fine ingredients business, became its inaugural President, and completed numerous domestic and international add-on acquisitions during his tenure as President and CEO. Additionally, Dai led a number of start-ups with venture capital in the IT segment. His broad and deep involvement and experience, working hands-on with business partners and capital markets, has led to many successful businesses in the chemicals, life science and building products industries.
Dai holds a Bachelor of Economics from Tokyo University, an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and an Honor Certificate of International Business Diplomacy from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service.
